Energy Transition with RES, Batteries and ESG
11.03.2022
According to its recovery plan, Bulgaria aims to achieve energy independence and security, increased employment, and positive environmental effects. However, this course of action requires a careful analysis insofar as Bulgaria has a track record of implementing rather expensive solutions in the energy sector. In addition, the lack of capacity mechanisms and the ESG incentives for investments in the energy sector, which is capital intensive, should be considered and given proper attention. Based on such analysis, various models and scenarios should be developed prior to selecting the mix of technologies for transition to the net zero target.
