Biography

Anastasiya is Senior Associate in Eversheds Sutherland in Bulgaria.

Anastasiya advises on various aspects of competition law, including unfair competition and unfair commercial practices, merger control, antitrust and dominance and represent clients before the national competition authority and the national courts. Structuring and drafting of agreements and general terms and conditions for marketing activities of clients is also part of the ongoing legal support Anastasiya provides.

In the field of corporate law, Anastasiya supports domestic and multinational companies in specific transactional and corporate matters, restructurings, and legal due diligence projects, as well as corporate governance.

She also advises clients on regulatory and compliance aspects of Bulgarian law in different market sectors such as health and life sciences, tobacco, consumer, FMCG.

Anastasiya occasionally contributes to Kluwer Competition Law Blog and Concurrence.

During her studies Anastasiya participated in the 23rd and 24th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, Vienna and in the 35th European Law Moot Court, Turin.

  • representing before the national competition authority, administrative and Supreme administrative court one of the largest gas distribution companies in Bulgaria in legal proceedings concerning abuse of a stronger bargaining position
  • competition compliance trainings, mock down raid (incl. review of email correspondence, interviews with higher management staff and review of key-client supply and distribution agreements) and preparation of report on competition compliance, as well as review of internal down raid guidelines for a leading participant on the Bulgarian construction market
  • competition law due diligence of a leading Bulgarian food supplements company
  • performing all steps of legal assistance of the concentration clearance notification procedure before the Commission for Protection of Competition of utility company operating the largest gas distribution grid in Bulgaria
